Jan. 13

The Huntington City-Township Public Library will have Bilingual Story Time on Jan. 13, from 10 a.m. to noon. A twenty-minute story time for ages birth to seven years and their caregivers, with equal amounts of English and Spanish. Stories and songs will be equally accessible to native speakers of both languages. Jan. 15

The regularly scheduled Warren Town Council meeting for January 8th has been rescheduled for Jan. 15, at the Assembly Hall at 5 pm.

The Huntington City-Township Library will hold their board meeting on Jan. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.

Jan. 17

All Huntington County Emergency Management will be working with the IU-Polis Center in updating the Huntington County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan. On Wednesday Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. there will be a one-hour meeting in the training room at the Sheriff’s Department second floor.

The Markle Town Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17, for it’s monthly meeting at the Markle Fire Station located at 150 W. Sparks St. Regularly scheduled meetings are on the third Wednesday of each month.

Jan. 19

Roanoke’s Cottage Event Center plays host to a night of tribute to the music of legendary singer Elvis Presley with a concert by “El’s Angels,” starring guitar virtuoso Kenny Taylor. The event is a fund raiser for the Northeast Indiana Honor Flight. Tickets are $12 per person, and may be ordered by calling 260-483-3508, online at cottageeventcenter.com or at John’s Meat Market in Roanoke. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show at 7:30 p.m. The show is sponsored by East of Chicago Pizza in Warren and Andy Eckert of Ness Real Estate in Huntington.
