Last month, Cory Boxell was sworn in as the newest chief of the Huntington Police Department following former Police Chief Chad Hacker’s sudden retirement to accept a new position with the federal government in Fort Wayne.

Boxell sat down for an interview with the Herald-Press to discuss his life and his career. His journey from his childhood in Warren, to his dreams of flying, to his eventual appointment as chief of police was explored in an article last week.
