After Grant County officers terminated a police pursuit upon losing sight of the suspect, a Warren Police Department (WPD) officer saw a black car with its lights turned off traveling in excess of 100 mph on the right shoulder of Interstate 69.
Police say the chase began after officers tried to provide assistance to a disabled vehicle near the 253 mile marker on Friday around 7:15 p.m. A female passenger in the vehicle was found to have an active felony arrest warrant for battery on a public safety officer during the interaction, according to police reports.
