Many items on the Huntington County Council’s next meeting agenda include appropriating grants that county departments received after the 2023 budget approval, according to Huntington County Auditor Jil Landrum.
“They’ve worked hard to apply for these grants and get these awards, and we just have to follow procedure,” said Huntington County Auditor, Jil Landrum, adding that January is a time to adjust the budget as grants and projects also change, or were not finalized until after the 2023 budget was approved by the county council and the State Board of Finance.
