The Huntington Optimist Club recently awarded two more Huntington students for the 2023 Huntington Optimist Club Youth Appreciation Award, and these two students are from Crestview Middle School, according to a press release.
Crestview’s eighth grader, Alice Friesen, daughter of Megan and Jared Friesen, was one awardee. She was nominated by the Crestview Middle School staff calling Friesen a “rare four-sport athlete” and participates in band, choir and jazz band at Crestview, and is using her talents in Crestview’s musical Beauty and the Beast. Additionally, she is part of student council and a member of the YMCA dance program, according to the press release and nomination form.
