The 2020 NBA All-Star Game will feature a new twist, as a new scoring system, created by and named after Nick Elam, a professor at Ball State University, becomes part of the contest, scheduled to be played on Sunday.

The league unveiled its adoption of the Elam Ending to its All-Star format last week as part of its efforts to honor NBA icon Kobe Bryant, an 18-time All-Star who passed away in a helicopter accident on Jan. 26.
